About IC
The International Committee (IC) is a multicultural federation of about 350 affiliated associations , throughout Flanders and Brussels. Each association has its own, independent operation and a unique composition in terms of nationality, language, age, religion, goals and interests.
The IC strengthens society from the strengths and perspective of people and communities with a migration history. That is why the IC works as a federation on social participation and social integration. The focus is on the 'key themes' participation, culture, education, employment, and care and welfare. The federation enters into small and larger partnerships around each of these themes, which contribute to an inclusive and socially just society.
That is why the IC actively supports the leaders and active members of our member associations. We share our individual expertise in a wider partner network. In this way we strengthen their role, both in their community and in society at large.
